Assist Postnatal Mothers and Infants
Women and children have been significantly affected by area’s ongoing difficult situation. Thus, ECLOF Myanmar intends to assist new mothers and their babies in obtaining birth certificates and other requirements through this program, particularly new mothers living in Seik Phyu Township, Magwe Division. ECLOF Myanmar distributed layette, baby utensil and blankets to the mothers of a newborn.

Support to Water Disaster Affected Clients
Starting in early July 2024, the Ayeyarwady River has been flooding in upper and central Myanmar. As the water reaches the delta region and continuous rainfall continues, some townships in Ayeyarwady Region have been experiencing flooding since mid-July, and the flood-prone Ayeyarwady Region has been experiencing flooding for a longer period of time than the rest of Myanmar. ECLOF Myanmar supports to clients who are severely affected by water disaster, total of 306 clients from 9 villages located in Ayeyarwaddy Division, are supported.

Health Education for new mothers and pregnant women
A program to educate new mothers and expectant mothers about childhood vaccinations. nutrition awareness and prevention of severe heatstroke in the region was carried out in 183 women from 36 villages (Pregnant woman 24 and new Moms 159)Seik Phyu Township, Magwe Division.

Beneficial Welfare Program
Myanmar Middle Region is severely affected by extreme hot weather and heat wave during summer, 2024. Chauk, the hottest city in the world is neighbor city of Seik Phyu. Old-aged people and infant are the most vulnerable because of extreme hot weather. Therefore ECLOF Myanmar supports the assistance for poorly old-aged people, disabled person and health compromised person. ECLOF Myanmar supports total of 75 people, male (30) and female (45) and their respective households. Each received 5 pyi(10.65 kg) of rice and 20 electrolyte powder packets.

Awareness raising workshop for Home Gardening and Home Garden Fruit Tree Plantation
ECLOF in Myanmar conducted training on home gardening and plantation of fruit trees at War Pa Nget Village, Sar Bue Taung village tract, Hlegu,Yangon. The purpose of this training is to raise awareness about the benefits of organic farm production and home gardening. Another awareness raising session on home gardening was conducted in Kwel Nar Hout village, Anesakan, Pyin Oo Lwin Township, Mandalay Division.


Establishing a village-owned community forest nursery
Local communities, living in or around forests, are often the key partners of the sustainable forest management practices since their subsistence economies and their welfare are highly dependent upon the forest resources. So ECLOF together with villagers established a village-owned community forest nursery to maintain, restore and reconnect with forest ecosystems and promoted public awareness on the conservation of wildlife and other natural resources.



Environmental Conservation Program
ECLOF will provide assistance for community and work together towards achieving sustainable development. Environmental conservation program includes natural forest development, agro-forestry training with local people, establishment of community-owned nurseries, tree planting. Development of appropriate public awareness and technologies for energy conservation and climate change is given serious attention in the planning and implementation stages.
